Thank you to everyone I met at Waterstones in Bury today – you helped me break the store record for the number of books sold at a book signing! I really enjoyed chatting to you and I hope those who bought a copy of ‘Martha’s Girls’ will enjoy it.
About 10 years ago when I was thinking about writing a novel, I set myself some goals. One of them is about to come true . . .
This Saturday, 19 May 2012, I will be signing copies of my novel in Waterstones. I keep pinching myself! I don’t care how many people come or how many books are sold, I’ll be there enjoying every moment. So if you’re anywhere near the Bury branch of Waterstones between 11am and 3pm come in and say hello. I’d love to see you.
I recently did an interview for the online women’s magazine ‘Female First’. It has quite a ‘glossy’ style, but the questions they asked were interesting. I thought you might like to read it because it covers a bit more about the background to ‘Martha’s Girls’ and the process of writing the novel. Yes I know they got my name wrong, but hey . . .
