Beautiful Belfast

It was great to be back home in Belfast. I met so many people at Eason’s in Donegall Place and everyone was so friendly. I hope to be back again very soon. I also went to the Titanic Exhibition which was brilliant and well worth a visit.

  1. Hi, I met you at Easons Belfast ( the girl with the red wellies)
I LOVED Martha’s Girls. I felt like I knew all the characters and was so excited for them in their adventures. It was also really nice knowing some of the places in the book.
Such a well written story that most girls who have ever defied their mum can relate too!

I hope you enjoy success with your first novel and will be on the look out for your next!

Best wishes and lots of luck,

  2. Hi Arlene I met you today in Lisburn with my mum Big Rita, it was lovely to talk to you, Rita loved telling stories of the Belfast Blitz and reliving some of the memories. I have just started reading your book and am hooked looks like a long night reading as I can’t put it down! Loving your work!!

    • It was lovely to meet you and Rita in Lisburn, Elaine. Rita had an amazing recall of events in Belfast during the war and really brought to life her experience of the blitz. I did a lot of research for the novel, but nothing beats talking to someone who was actually there. I’m glad you’re enjoying the book – you’ve probably finished it by now! If you have time you could post a review on Amazon. Keep in touch and let me know what Rita thinks of it too. All the best Alrenexx
